Homebrewing 101: Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. JP JR: It's a partial mash kit. If it was all grain there would be a lot more grains to mash. That's the reason for the liquid malt. You get the same amount of fermentable sugars with a little grain and a little malt as you would with about 10 lbs of grains alone. Its also cheaper on shipping to buy a kit.
  2. JP JR: I get mine at a big box hardware store (like Homedepot / Lowes). The sell them in the paint isles as strainer bags.
  3. spaky82: Very interesting
  4. Suippo: Thanks for the advise and tips. Im starting my own homebrew as soon as i move to a new home. I think its in a couple of months.
  5. H and M Johnson: I thought you were doing an all-grain brewing, so why are you then adding liquid malt extract? Don't you already have wort from everything you did up to the point where you pour in the liquid malt extract?
  6. Troy Ladouceur: Thanks for simplicity of this vid. I been distilling spirts but beer seems much more complex. You explained it well .would like details on them last to mystery bags and how that extract is made.
  7. peliROCK: where do you get the large tea bag?
